Oil on canvas, 20/30 cm. The winter time in Israel inspires me with its soft light. Especialy when it comes to nature. The oil paint helps me to go deeper with the colors, and get into the green leaves and the rainy atmosphere. This oil painting was made about a year ago, and I hope next winter will bring even more inspiration to my art.

Oil on canvas, 50/70 cm (I think…) This work was made few years ago and sold to a nice woman. I like working with oil paint, it’s a very smooth and flowing medium. There is also something nice in painting flowers. Maybe it is not such a surprising image, but it is pleasant to the eye. The combination between the two, oil on canvas, and flowers (especially a rose), makes the painting work pure pleasure. I miss working with oil paint, so I guess I’ll come back to it after I finish my final project.

My grandma, lucya (Liudmila). Watercolor and gouache on a small piece of paper, quick painting. This painting is made by a photograph I took few days before my wedding in 2008. She was born in Saint Petersburg and now she lives in Berlin. I like her strong yet sensitive character. Art is something that flows in my family tree, but she is one of those who don’t paint. Still, I think I learned from her about the art of life, which is the most important kind of art.

Oil on canvas 20/30 cm. From a quick study in Jerusalem, when color, light and composition are the topic. This time it was outside, in nature, but I also like studio painting.  In this kind of art I find myself very comfortable and at home. I don’t even call it art. It is just something I do. I like to learn new things in this field of art,  and practice what I already know. There is always something new to discover.
